WEEI has been a dedicated partner with the Jimmy Fund by presenting the annual Radio-Telethon for the past 17 years. Since 2002, its generous support of this event has raised more than $49 million to support pediatric and adult cancer care and research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
Over the span of 36-hours and two Boston Red Sox games, the radio-telethon features compelling stories from Dana-Farber patients, doctors, researchers and nurses, celebrity guests and athletes, inspiring people all over the world to support Dana-Farber and the Jimmy Fund's mission.
There are also special ceremonies prior to both Red Sox games during the two-day period. The money raised supports the lifesaving research and compassionate care at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
As the flagship radio station for the Boston Red Sox since 1995, WEEI is one of the best-known sports media brands, with a reputation for entertaining conversation, deep insight, and breaking news about New England’s favorite sports teams. Each week, WEEI reaches more than 900,000 men and women across New England.
