Boston Red Sox Jimmy Fund Award

Boston Red Sox Jimmy Fund award winners

The Boston Red Sox Jimmy Fund Award is the Jimmy Fund's highest honor, presented annually by the Red Sox to those who have demonstrated longstanding commitment to the lifesaving mission of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund.

The 2023 award was presented to Larry Lucchino, Chairman of the Jimmy Fund, Trustee of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Chairman of the Worcester Red Sox, and President/CEO Emeritus of the Boston Red Sox. Larry was part of the Red Sox ownership group who purchased the team in 2002, reinvigorating the longstanding partnership between the Jimmy Fund and the Red Sox and helping to start the WEEI/NESN Jimmy Fund Radio-Telethon presented by Arbella Insurance, which has now raised more than $70 million. He has been Chairman of the Jimmy Fund since 2016, spreading awareness of Dana-Farber and the Jimmy Fund, building support for the Jimmy Fund’s mission, and helping to raise lifesaving funds.
