Fun Ways to Engage Kids in Philanthropy
Teach children and young adults the importance of philanthropy by participating in a fun fundraising event that supports patient care and cancer research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. By participating in these events children are able to tap into their creativity, build self–confidence, and learn the importance of fundraising in the community.
Boston Marathon® Jimmy Fund Walk presented by Hyundai
Truly a family affair, the Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk offers 4 routes, ranging in distance from a 5K Walk (3.1 miles) from Dana-Farber Cancer Institute to the full Marathon Walk (26.2 miles) from Hopkinton along the Boston Marathon course. To engage younger participants, the Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk offers a reduced fundraising minimum of $100 for kids 12 years old or younger and a Young Pacesetters program for kids 12 and under who raise $500 or more.John Hancock Fenway Fantasy Day - High School All Stars
High school baseball or softball teams fundraise to send a Dana-Farber patient to John Hancock Fenway Fantasy Day. Fundraising teams have the chance to win the opportunity to play at Fenway Park during the event.Jimmy Fund Little League presented by Extra Innings and Franklin Sports
Jimmy Fund Little League presented by Extra Innings and Franklin Sports provides youth baseball and softball players throughout New England the opportunity to play after the season ends by raising funds for the Jimmy Fund.Jimmy Fund Mini Golf
Jimmy Fund Mini Golf is an easy and fun way for family and friends to come together to support Dana-Farber. Participants can host mini golf fundraising events for school functions and community service projects.Rally Against CancerSM presented by Chowdaheadz
Participants can start a Rally team and wear their Red Sox gear to school on Fenway Park’s Opening Day. Teams have the opportunity to earn rewards—including Red Sox tickets, hats, or a visit from a Red Sox player.Scooper Schools
Jimmy Fund Scooper Bowl® presented by Valvoline Instant Oil Change is the nation’s largest all-you-can-eat, three-day ice cream festival at Boston’s City Hall Plaza.
