Amica Mutual Insurance Company partners with Jimmy Fund Golf to raise $6.45 million for cancer care and research

Amica Mutual Insurance Company joined Jimmy Fund Golf to raise $6.45 million this summer for cancer care and research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

"Amica Chipping Challenges" took place at five golf tournaments across New England. The tournaments included: the 9th annual Jimmy Memorial Golf Tournament, which took place at Juniper Hill Golf Course in Northborough; the Dana-Farber Leadership Council Tournament, which took place at Granite Links Golf Club in Quincy; the Jimmy Fund Classic, which took place at the International in Bolton; the Highland Country Club/Jim Rignanese Memorial Golf Tournament of Attleboro; and the Tom E. Cosenzi Driving for a Cure Charity Golf Tournament, which took place at Springfield Country Club.

Amica Mutual Insurance Company, founded in 1907, employs more than 3,200 people in 40 offices across the country, including branches in Westborough, Raynham, and Holyoke, Mass.

In its 28th year, Jimmy Fund Golf has grown to more than 150 volunteer-run tournaments, with a fundraising total of $79 million. Since 1983, Jimmy Fund Golf has taken the fight against cancer to the fairways in support of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's lifesaving mission.

The Jimmy Fund supports Boston's Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, helping to raise funds for adult and pediatric cancer care and research and improve the chances of survival for cancer patients around the world. It is an official charity of the Boston Red Sox, as well as the official charity of the Massachusetts Chiefs of Police Association, the Pan-Massachusetts Challenge, and the Variety Children's Charity of New England. Since 1948, the generosity of millions of people has helped the Jimmy Fund save countless lives and reduce the burden of cancer.
