Let's Play MONOPOLY® with Chefs for Jimmy

November 30, 2009

"Bank" on fabulous dishes from 30 of Pioneer Valley's best chefs and caterers as the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute "pass go" and collect $1 million to conquer cancer.

The 20th annual Chef's for Jimmy will be held at Agawam's Chez Josef on Friday, January 22, 2010, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and will feature tastings of delicious dishes, a fantastic opportunity drawing, and a silent auction of unique items. Presented by Winer Levsky Group of UBS Financial Services, the event is being held in honor of Kittredge Equipment Company and Neal Webber, a longtime supporter of the Jimmy Fund. The theme of the evening is Hasbro's board game, MONOPOLY®, which will be reflected in the event's food and décor.

Last year, Chefs for Jimmy raised $100,000 for cancer care and research at Dana-Farber, bringing the event's total proceeds to $900,000 since 1990. This year's goal is to raise $125,000 for the lifesaving mission of the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber and achieve the milestone of raising $1 million total.

Tickets to the event are $75 and are available only in advance. Order your tickets today by calling (800) 52-JIMMY or ordering online at www.jimmyfund.org/chefs-for-jimmy.

The Jimmy Fund supports the fight against cancer at Boston's Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, helping to raise the chances of survival for children and adults with cancer around the world. Since 1948, the generosity of millions of people has helped the Jimmy Fund save countless lives by furthering cancer research and care. Unrestricted support from the Jimmy Fund is an integral part of Mission Possible: The Dana-Farber Campaign to Conquer Cancer, a $1 billion capital campaign to accelerate cancer research, speed development of life-saving therapies, and expand the Institute's signature patient- and family-centered care.
