What brought you to Dana-Farber?

As someone relatively new to Boston and New England, I was eager to establish my life here. Dana-Farber’s deep-rooted community involvement and reputation immediately drew me in. Separate from volunteer opportunities and events, it’s meaningful to work for an Institution that we all have a connection to in one way or another.

Can you describe your role here?

I joined a newly established frontline fundraising team within the Division of Philanthropy in 2022 alongside my manager. Together with our expanding team, we focus on engaging the Institute’s most significant donors. Given the nature of our work, I collaborate closely with the president’s office, the office of the senior vice president, and colleagues across the Division on a wide range of special projects. These projects vary based on donor needs, engagement strategies, and Institute priorities—making every day dynamic and rewarding.

Is there anything you would like to share about working at Dana-Farber and the Division of Philanthropy with prospective candidates?

One of the most rewarding parts of working here is the strong sense of shared purpose. Everyone is deeply motivated and thoughtful. There's a true spirit of collaboration—people are generous with their time and knowledge, and we’re all working toward the same goal. We’re constantly learning from others, and the work is both impactful and energizing.

What does it mean to you to work here and support Dana-Farber’s lifesaving mission to defy cancer?

The mission of Dana-Farber is no doubt meaningful, but I try to stay grounded in the projects we are working toward, focusing on intentional and informed decision-making. I find that consistency, good instincts, and being thoughtful about the work we’re doing is the best way I can contribute to our goals.

Are there any memories of working here that stand out to you?

When I started in 2022, it was just me and my manager on our team. Now, in 2025, we’ve grown to a team of six. It’s been really rewarding to build those relationships and see our team evolve together. Not only do we collaborate well, but we genuinely enjoy each other’s company and always have fun when we’re in the office together.
