Four Dana-Farber Marathon Challenge runners with their medals

Run the Boston Marathon® with Dana-Farber's team and help support patients and families in Boston and beyond.

About

When you run the Boston Marathon® with Dana-Farber's team, you support cancer patients everywhere. Join the Dana-Farber Marathon Challenge community as an individual, with a team, or as an own-entry runner and help defy cancer, 26.2 miles at a time.

The Dana-Farber Marathon Challenge began in 1990 when a team of 19 runners completed the Boston Marathon® in support of cancer research at Dana-Farber. Today, the DFMC community has grown to a team of more than 500 runners each year and has raised more than $132 million to date to benefit the Claudia Adams Barr Program in Innovative Basic Cancer Research. Learn more about the 2026 Dana-Farber Marathon Challenge or sign up for the 2026 DFMC contact list today.
