Join Toro's Executive Chef Josh Elliott and Island Creek Oysters Director of Sales and Host Bill Weiss for a virtual behind-the-scenes experience from Toro's kitchen. Follow along as Josh cooks classic Barcelona-style tapas from the beloved South End restaurant, including Pan con Tomate, Maiz Asado (corn), and Gambas al Ajillo (shrimp). Bill will give an expert oyster-shucking demo.
Toro is a Spanish tapas restaurant and bar that has been serving the South End since 2005. Created by James Beard Award-winning Chefs Ken Oringer and Jamie Bissonnette, the menu features Barcelona-inspired hot and cold small plates, designed to be served and enjoyed tapas-style.
Island Creek Oyster bar is a collaboration joining farmer, chef, and diner, welcoming guests to know their oyster grower, winemaker, distiller, brewer, and fisherman. Serving sustainable seafood in a sophisticated setting with colors and textures reminiscent of Duxbury Bay, ICOB brings the farm to the restaurant.
