South Shore Cones for a Cause ("Cones") is a charitable, ice cream fundraiser that pays tribute to the Jimmy Fund Scooper Bowl held each summer. Tickets are $10 each and provide attendees with a "go-pack" of ice creams from various local and national manufacturers, as well as a ticket to sample frozen yogurts from Menchie's right across the street as well! All proceeds benefit Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund. Ice cream names include Ben & Jerry's, Bliss, Brigham's, Buon! Per Te, Gifford's, Hood, Lactaid, Menchie's, Nona's, Shake Shack, The Farmer's Cow and more.

From the event organizer: "I am humbled that my family has a very extended history with The Jimmy Fund. My late father, Donald W. White, Sr. of Hendrie’s Ice Cream, co-founded Jimmy Fund Scooper Bowl®, which just celebrated its 39th event at Patriot Place with great success! I am continuing the tradition with Cones for a Cause to bring the joy of the event to the South Shore. The support that Cones has received since it started has been overwhelming, and we're on track to make this an annual event at the Hingham Shipyard. This year, Cones will be held in conjunction with the Hingham Shipyard Summer Music Series event, featuring Aerosmith cover band, Draw the Line, and looks to attract over 2,000 people as a wonderful way to raise funds for cancer research and make for quite the memorable summer send-off.
