Boston Athletic Association

The Boston Athletic Association (B.A.A.) partners with Dana-Farber to raise millions of dollars for cancer research through athletic events.

Dana-Farber runners have raised millions of dollars through B.A.A. events. As a longtime charity partner, together we are working toward a world without cancer.

What is the B.A.A.?

Established as a sports club in 1887, the Boston Athletic Association is a nonprofit organization that promotes a healthy lifestyle through sports, especially running. The B.A.A. launched the Boston Marathon® in 1897 and has since expanded its calendar of races and athletic charity events, offering several ways to walk or run while fundraising for Dana-Farber and the Jimmy Fund.
