2024 Jimmy Fund Captain Garrett Whitlock.

Each year, a Boston Red Sox player serves as the Jimmy Fund Captain, building awareness and support for the Jimmy Fund's mission to strike out cancer at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

The Jimmy Fund Captain attends fundraising events, visits and bonds with patients, and acts as an ambassador for Dana-Farber's research and care mission.

Boston Red Sox pitcher Garrett Whitlock is our 2024 Jimmy Fund Captain, returning for his second year.

As Jimmy Fund Captain, Whitlock will encourage fans to step up to the plate and strike out cancer by getting involved with the Jimmy Fund.

Past Captains include Nathan Eovaldi, Mitch Moreland, Brock Holt, Pablo Sandoval, Will Middlebrooks, David Ross, Jarrod Saltalamacchia, Daniel Bard, Tim Wakefield, and Clay Buchholz.
