Olympians Skate to benefit the Jimmy Fund

An Evening With Champions, Oct. 6-7

Cambridge, Mass. – Oksana Baiul, Emily Hughes, and Paul Wylie are just a few of the Olympic skaters who will be doing triple axels and toe loops at Harvard University to benefit the Jimmy Fund. The 37th annual "An Evening with Champions" takes place on Friday, Oct. 6, at 8 p.m. and Saturday, Oct.7, at 7 p.m. at Harvard University's Bright Hockey Center.

Since its founding in 1970 by former US champion John Misha Petkevich, An Evening with Champions has been run entirely by Harvard University students. The premier skating event has raised more than $2.3 million for pediatric cancer care and research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute through its Jimmy Fund.

In addition to Baiul, Hughes, and Wylie, this year's ice show features 2006 Olympic Silver Medalists Tanith Belbin and Benjamin Agosto, 2006 Olympian Matt Savoie, 15-time National Synchronized Skating Champions the Haydenettes of Massachusetts, two-time Olympic champions Oleg and Ludmilla Protopopov, and many more world class and local skaters.

Wylie will host the show. He is a 1992 Olympic silver medalist and Harvard graduate (class of '90). This is his 22nd appearance at An Evening with Champions.

Tickets cost $32 for adults, and $12 for children and senior citizens. Call the Harvard Box Office at 617-496-2222 or log onto www.aneveningwithchampions.org to make a purchase. Group rates are also available for groups of 10 or more.
