Tourney for Tim Wiffle Ball Tournament|2015
The Tourney for Tim Wiffle Ball Tournament is an all-level Wiffle Ball competition with live music, food, and activities for the entire family. The event celebrates the life of Timothy P. Roberts, a courageous young man and Dana-Farber patient who died of esophageal cancer at age 22. Throughout his struggle, Tim showed amazing compassion for fellow cancer-stricken young adults, even as he was among the most ill.
His desire was to provide other patients, aged 18-30, with little things that would make a big difference toward making their lives fun, easier, and satisfying, even in the face of their illness. He hoped to fulfill dreams and wishes that could not be granted within the scope of traditional medical care to the young adult patient.
While Tim did not see his dream realized, the Fund's goal is to fulfill his dream, and more importantly, the dreams of others, in loving memory of Tim's compassion.
All proceeds benefit the Timothy P. Roberts "Reeling in a Dream" Fund in support patient care at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
