Nick Varano, owner of Strega restaurant, and Carol Brownman Sneider, founder of Bakes for Breast Cancer

Teaming up with restaurants, bakeries, and cafes across Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Maine, and the Cape & Islands, Bakes for Breast Cancer offers the opportunity to enjoy a delectable dessert while supporting breast cancer research and care.

Participating establishments dedicate 100% of proceeds from one dessert or 50% of proceeds from their entire dessert menu during a designated week.

Carol Brownman Sneider, President of Bakes for Breast Cancer, founded Boston Bakes for Breast Cancer in 2000 to pay tribute to her mother, Eva Brownman, who lost her battle with breast cancer in 1973 at age 44.

Bakes for Breast Cancer designates 50% of proceeds raised to support the work of Rachel Freedman, MD, MPH, at the Susan F. Smith Center for Women's Cancers at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

The 2022 program dates are:
August 1-7, 2022: Maine, Cape & Islands
October 7-13, 2022: Massachusetts, Rhode Island
