An Evening with Champions is an inspirational figure skating exhibition featuring performances by world-class skaters to help support cancer research and compassionate patient care at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

The 2014 ladies cast included 2006 World Champion and 2006 Olympian Kimmie Meissner, two-time U.S. National Champion Alissa Czisny, two-time U.S. National Bronze Medalist Agnes Zawadzki, 2012 Skate America Silver Medalist Christina Gao, 2013 US National Pewter Medalist Courtney Hicks, 2012 U.S. Junior National Silver Medalist Ashley Cain, 2013 U.S. National Competitor and Boston native Yasmin Siraj, and 2009 U.S. Junior National Championships Intermediate Pewter Medalist Maria Kalina.

The 2014 men's cast included 2014 Olympic Team Bronze Medalist Jeremy Abbott, two-time Olympian Johnny Weir, 2013 Junior World Champion Joshua Farris, 2013 U.S. National Silver Medalist Ross Miner, 2006 Olympian Shawn Sawyer, 2013 U.S. Challenge Cup Silver Medalist Douglas Razzano2014 Junior World Bronze Medalist Nathan Chen, and 2013 Junior World Bronze Medalist Shotaro Omori.

Performing as pairs were two-time Olympic Champions Ludmila and Oleg Protopopov, 2014 Olympic Silver Medalists Meagan Duhamel and Eric Radford, and 2014 Olympic Bronze Medalist Marissa Castelli with her partner, 2012 World Bronze Medalist Mervin Tran.

Synchronized skating teams The Haydenettes, Team Excel Collegiate, Team Excel Senior, and Act I of Boston also performed. Harvard University Figure Skating Club delivered a guest performance.

An Evening with Champions skaters

World-class ice skaters express their artistry and athletic ability before an audience of all ages at An Evening with Champions.

For the past 43 years, figure skating champions such as Scott Hamilton, Kristi Yamaguchi, Brian Boitano, Michelle Kwan, IIia Kulik, Ekaterina Gordeeva, Oksana Baiul, Nancy Kerrigan, and countless others have graced the ice at Harvard University with their talent for this ice skating event.

An Evening with Champions was founded in 1970 by former US Figure Skating Champion John Misha Petkevich. Since then, it has been run entirely by Harvard University students, including 1992 Olympic Silver Medalist and 1990 Harvard graduate Paul Wylie.

To date, An Evening with Champions has raised more than $2.6 million for Dana-Farber and the Jimmy Fund.
