Scooper Schools
Looking for a "Scooper" end-of-the-year field trip? Become a Scooper School.
The Jimmy Fund Scooper Schools Program provides students in New England the opportunity to earn free admission to the Jimmy Fund Scooper Bowl by planning and participating in fundraising projects for the Jimmy Fund throughout the year. By doing so, these students are able to tap into their creativity, build self-confidence, and, most importantly, learn the importance of philanthropy by fundraising at their school.
Teaching students the critical importance of philanthropy and volunteerism in building a better society is a fundamental goal of the Jimmy Fund Scooper Schools Program. The act of giving unleashes the idea that a child can touch someone's life, and by participating in Scooper Schools, children will learn that they too can make a difference in the fight against cancer.
2010 Participating Scooper Schools will receive:
- List of creative fundraising event ideas
- Scooper Bowl posters and Jimmy Fund banners
- Special thank you mention at the event
- School name listed on the Scooper Schools fundraising cone
- School name listed on the Scooper Bowl Web site
In addition, schools have the opportunity to earn free admission to the event based on their fundraising totals:
- $1,000 or more – Free admission for 125 students/teachers
- $500 or more – Free admission for 75 students/teachers
- $250 or more – Free admission for 25 students/teachers
Thank you to all of the schools that participated in the 2009 Scooper Schools program.
