The Reaching for a Cure Gala benefits the Paul Stepanian Fund for Multiple Myeloma Research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. The 2008 event featured dinner, dancing, silent and live auctions and a speaking program.
Some of the 2008 auction items available for bid at the event included:
- Season tickets to the New England Patriots
- A one-week stay at a private villa on the island of St. Maarten
- Four club tickets to a New England Patriots game, including on-field experience during the team warm-up
- Fine jewelry pieces
- A private luncheon on set of Law and Order with actress Mariska Hargitay
