Form a Team

Gather co-workers, friends, and family members to form a team and walk in honor or memory of a loved one. Or form a team of people who simply want to walk together to make a difference.
Starting a team is easy. Being part of a team is fun.
- Choose a team captain who has access to the Internet
- Choose a team name, fundraising goal, and recruitment goal (number of team members)
- Team captains will be notified via e-mail when someone joins the team
- Each team member is responsible for the fundraising minimum
Creating a team web page is a fun and easy way to keep track of your team's progress:
- A team web page can be created and edited by the team captain and is available to all team members
- Display team spirit by adding pictures and text to your website
- Monitor team goals and fundraising levels
- Send e-mail messages asking for support and recruit new team members
As a member of a team, you and your fellow members are eligible for special recognition:
- Teams consisting of five members or more will be considered for recognition
- All team members must meet the minimum fundraising requirement to be considered for recognition
- A special team captains' reception will be held in the spring for teams raising $10,000 or more
- Select teams will be recognized in the annual Hero Highlights booklet
