Four miles of unsurpassed views of the Atlantic were not enough.

Joshua's Run 2008 is proud to unveil The Cliff Challenge. Please join us as we increase the challenge and enjoyment of our 12th annual event. The race routes along the beautiful cliffs of Scituate, Mass., have been modified to incorporate more mileage and even more spectacular views of the beautiful Atlantic Ocean. A scenic mile of coastline has been added to the 4-Mile race distance making it a rolling five miles.

In addition to the route change, we are especially proud to announce the first annual Andrea's Apres Art Auction that will be held at the post-race party. Established to honor Andrea Gaziano's life passions, the Apres Art Auction will include live musical entertainment and a live and silent fine art auction.

Everyone is welcome to join us whether you participated in the morning events or if you can only join us for the afternoon party and auction. You are invited to come to beautiful Scituate Harbor, enjoy a bowl of warm, delicious chowder or chili and see the wonderful artwork that could be yours.

Joshua's Run 2008 is kid-friendly, starting with the Kids Fun Run at 8:30 a.m. After the run, the kids entertainment tent will keep them amused with face painting, balloons, and Rudy the Clown.

Please join us for a family fun day and contribute to the battle against childhood cancer. All proceeds of these events will be given to the Andrea Gaziano Memorial Fund to benefit pediatric cancer research at Dana-Farber.

Since 1996, Joshua's Run has raised more than $290,000 for the Jimmy Fund. Joshua's Run is a unique event that honors many who have battled cancer. The sponsored hills are named for our Hill Heroes, all past and present patients of Dana-Farber. Our Hill Heroes are the inspiration for race participants to try their hardest against the challenge of the hills.

Race participants may also pay tribute to their own personal hero by purchasing a patch on our Wall of Wings. Patches are decorated to honor a loved one who has battled cancer. The patches adorn our butterfly that graces the race every year.
