Joe Cronin Memorial Fishing Tournament

Help the Jimmy Fund reel in much-needed funds for cancer research and care at the 17th Annual Joe Cronin Memorial Fishing Tournament.
In 2009, this two-day-long bluefish tournament kicked off at Nauticus Marina in Osterville, Mass. Fishing gear and an on-board lunch were provided as well as the boat that took anglers out to top ocean fishing spots off Cape Cod. More than 250 fishermen participated. The tournament also honored the memories of the late Larry Coggeshall and former Detroit Tigers pitcher Mark “The Bird” Fidrych, both longtime supporters of the Jimmy Fund and the fishing tournament.
The tournament honors the life of Red Sox great and former American League president, Joe Cronin. Participants raised more than $300,000 in 2009, bringing the event's cumulative fundraising total to $2.75 million.
