Each summer, the annual Falmouth Road Race attracts thousands of runners to its beautiful, scenic 7-mile course on Cape Cod, and this year was no different. Dana-Farber's 2009 team competed in this world-renowned event, a race that has been called the "best road race in the USA" by Runner's World that also raises vital funds for cancer care and research.
The 67-person Dana-Farber team included survivors, family members, and friends. It joined nearly 10,000 competitors for the scenic race, raising an all-time high total of $202,000. To date, the Falmouth Road Race program has raised $896,000 since it began seven years ago.
