Evening with Champions history
Every year, An Evening with Champions invites world-class ice skaters to express their artistry and athletic ability before an audience of all ages. Over the past 40 years, skaters such Scott Hamilton, Kristi Yamaguchi, Brian Boitano, Michelle Kwan, Ilia Kulik, Ekaterina Gordeeva, Oksana Baiul, Nancy Kerrigan and countless others have graced the Harvard ice with their talent. This year's event raised $86,000.
An Evening with Champions was founded in 1970 by former US champion John Misha Petkevich. Since then it has been run entirely by Harvard University students, including 1992 Olympic Silver Medalist and 1990 Harvard graduate Paul Wylie, raising more than $2.2 million for the Jimmy Fund.
