The Jimmy Fund congratulates Tim Wakefield, winner of the 2010 Roberto Clemente Award

The Jimmy Fund has known for many years that Tim Wakefield truly embodies the essence of the Roberto Clemente Award.

As a pitcher, Tim is a fierce competitor and a proven winner, but his contributions off the field are far more impressive.

We have been fortunate to be the recipient of Tim's support, and in 2010 we honored Tim for his commitment, naming him a Jimmy Fund Co-captain.

Whether visiting with our teen patients during their Red Sox Spring Training trip or bringing the World Series trophy to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Tim has the ability to connect with patients of all ages. His kindness and compassion are truly genuine.
