Ben & Jerry's is getting ready to dish out ice cream at the Jimmy Fund Scooper Bowl®

May 14, 2009

For more than two decades, Ben & Jerry's has been a top vendor at the Jimmy Fund Scooper Bowl. The 27th annual all-you-can-eat ice cream festival is on June 9, 10 and 11 at Boston City Hall Plaza.

Ben & Jerry's will serve roughly 800 gallons of Orange & Cream, Oatmeal Cookie Chunk, Chocolate Macadamia, and Goodbye Yellow Brickle Road ice cream at the event.

Others dishing out more than 40 flavors of ice cream, frozen yogurt, sorbet and gelato are Baskin-Robbins, Breyers, Brigham's, Spasso Sorbet and Gelato, Edy's Grand Ice Cream, Garelick Farms, Gifford's, Häagen-Dazs and HP Hood. See the list of flavors.

Rain or shine, the Jimmy Fund Scooper Bowl is open from noon — 8 p.m. each day from Tuesday, June 9, through Thursday, June 11. Admission is $8 for adults, $4 for children ages 3-10, and free for children younger than 3.

Since its inception in 1983, the Jimmy Fund Scooper Bowl has raised more than $2 million for cancer research and care for adults and children at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. The goal this year is to raise $250,000.
