Former Red Sox reliever Jonathan Papelbon has shown he can throw strikes both in baseball and bowling. The ace closer was a regular at New Stars for Young Stars, a January autograph signing held at Jillian's Boston.

In fact, the 2007 event roster also included not-so-new star Curt Schilling, along with Papelbon's brother Josh, Craig Hansen, Manny DelCarmen, Lenny DiNardo, David Pauley, Clay Buchholz, and Kason Gabbard.

Prior to the public autograph session, the players met privately with some of Dana-Farber's youngest stars — patients from the Jimmy Fund Clinic. Together they talked, played pool, and bowled.
