Tim Wakefield and Clay Buchholz

On Friday, April 23, 2010, Red Sox pitchers Tim Wakefield and Clay Buchholz joined Dana-Farber President Edward J. Benz Jr., MD, pediatric and adult patients, and their families for a press conference in Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's Red Sox Gallery to officially announce their role as Jimmy Fund Co-captains for the 2010 season.

In this role, Wakefield and Buchholz will be making visits to Dana-Farber, supporting Jimmy Fund events, thanking donors, and raising awareness throughout Red Sox Nation.

The Red Sox adopted the Jimmy Fund as its official charity in 1953, and since then, the two have established a deep bond unlike any other in professional sports.
