Jimmy Fund announces the fifth annual Rally Against Cancer winning teams
Boston Red Sox fans hit a grand slam in the fight against cancer by raising nearly $215,000 to date for the Jimmy Fund in the fifth annual Rally Against Cancer. The winning teams are: State Street Corp. in Boston, Joyce Kilmer School in West Roxbury and Quinsigamond Community College in Worcester. Each have won a visit from Red Sox pitcher and Rally Against Cancer spokesplayer Clay Buchholz. The visit dates are yet to be determined.
More than 300 businesses, K-12 schools and colleges and universities participated in the Rally Against Cancer. Employees, students and staff who contributed at least $5 to the Jimmy Fund were allowed by their schools or companies to wear their Red Sox gear to work or school on April 6, plus they were also vying for the visit from Buchholz.

Unrestricted support from the Jimmy Fund is an integral part of Mission Possible: The Dana-Farber Campaign to Conquer Cancer, a $1 billion capital campaign to accelerate cancer research, speed development of life-saving therapies, and expand the Institute's signature patient- and family-centered care.
