World championship ornament supports Jimmy Fund
Christmas came early in New England with the Boston Red Sox winning the World Series. Now a world championship ornament perfect for the holiday season is on sale to support the Jimmy Fund. The limited edition gold-plated ornament adorned with the trophy, Fenway Park and the Jimmy Fund logo benefits cancer research and care at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. The Jimmy Fund, which is the fundraising arm of Dana-Farber, has been an official charity of the Red Sox for more than 50 years.
The new world championship ornament is being offered as part of Dana-Farber's entire 2007 collection of holiday cards, candles and ornaments to support the fight against cancer. There are 15 different holiday card designs and greetings, some created by patients, in the collection. Each box includes 15 cards and 16 envelopes. There are three limited-edition scented Aunt Sadie's candles and three ornaments for sale. Several designs are perfect for Sox and Patriots fans.
All items are $20, with 100 percent of sales going directly to the Jimmy Fund. Visit www.jimmyfund.org/holiday to view the entire collection and to make a purchase online. Cards are also on sale at Crate & Barrel retail stores in Massachusetts and Rhode Island, and the entire collection is available in the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute lobby at 44 Binney Street, Boston.
Imprinting is offered for inside the cards, including company logos and customized messages, for an additional charge. Orders will be accepted until January 2008. Delivery takes up to 3 weeks. Call Amy Powers at (617) 582-7724 with any questions or to place an order.
Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is recognized by the National Cancer Institute and is renowned for using its discoveries to improve cancer treatment for children and adults around the world.
