Ice cream and more at Jimmy Fund Scooper Bowl®

June 6, 7 and 8

In addition to more than 40 flavors of ice cream being served at all times, this year's Jimmy Fund Scooper Bowl will also be dishing up local musical and sports talent. Top local bands, plus representatives from some of Boston's favorite teams will be at the nation's largest all-you-can-eat ice cream festival, on Boston's City Hall Plaza, Tuesday through Thursday, June 6, 7, and 8.

The Scooper Bowl's regular hours are from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, with extended hours on Wednesday, June 7, until 8 p.m. Providing entertainment during those extra hours will be Swerve, a six-piece Boston-based cover band with both male and female lead singers. Their extensive song list and contagious energy should add considerably to the enjoyment of all the ice cream.

Girl Authority, a group of nine girls ranging in ages from 8 to 13, will perform on Tuesday from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. and Thursday from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. This group has 15 hit songs.

Boston singer, dancer, choreographer and songwriter Amy Famiglietti will play on Wednesday, June 7, from 12:30 to 3 p.m. She blends pop rock style and lyrical tunes into a dynamic show-stopping performance.

And Christopher Dale, a hypnotic vocalist with a penchant for irresistible hooks and melodies, will play on Thursday, June 8, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Dale will use his fiery stage presence and trademark banter to help keep ice cream lovers entertained between bites.

For sports enthusiasts, representatives from the Boston Celtics, Boston Cannons, New England Revolution, and Boston Lobsters will be at the Scooper Bowl with interactive games.

Child Protection Resources Inc. will also be in attendance offering free fingerprinting for children.

Admission is $7 for adults, $3 for children ages 3-10, and free for children younger than 3. A $15 Scooper Pass good for three entries any time during the event is also available. The Scooper Pass must be purchased by June 5. For more information, call (800) 52-JIMMY or visit www.scooperbowl.org.
