CowParade Boston Book Launch at Borders® and Meet the Artist Events

The cow days of summer continue in Boston with the launch of a CowParade Boston book.

The book featuring photos of all the cows of CowParade Boston will be unveiled on Thursday, Aug. 24, at the Borders® store in Downtown Crossing. A selection of artists who created cows for Boston's version of the largest and most popular public art event, will be on hand from noon to 2 p.m. to sign copies of the book. Borders in Downtown Crossing will donate five percent of the net sales of the book on Thursday, Aug. 24, to the Jimmy Fund. CowParade merchandise can also be found at area Borders stores as well as the Bank of America CowHospital in the Shops at the Prudential Center.

In another CowParade Event, artists will be meeting with the public on Sunday, Aug. 20, from noon to 3 p.m. in the second of two "Meet the Artist" days. The artists will be standing by their cow creations to meet with people and explain the inspiration for their bovine beauties. A map of cow locations and more information on CowParade can be found at www.jimmyfund.org/cowparade.

Cow-lovers who desire a cow of their very own have the opportunity to bid on their favorite cows at a cattle auction and gala event hosted by the Boston Marriott Copley Place on Sept. 21. All proceeds will benefit the Jimmy Fund, which supports the fight against cancer at Boston's Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, helping to raise the chances of survival for children and adults with cancer around the world.
