Pan-Massachusetts Challenge cyclists raise $26 million for the Jimmy Fund

The Pan-Massachusetts Challenge, the most successful athletic fundraising event in the nation, will tonight contribute $26 million to cancer research and treatment at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. The gift brings the PMC’s 27-year total contribution to more than $171 million. This record-setting sum is the largest gift ever made to the Jimmy Fund. Read more

Newton native designs a holiday card for Dana-Farber's 2006 Greeting Card Collection to help fight cancer

Newton artist Judith Gorgone has been designing greeting cards for the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA), UNICEF, and many private manufacturers for years, but this year she is doing it to help fight cancer. WEEI/NESN Jimmy Fund Radio-Telethon raises $2.9 million to fight cancer

Fans and officials of the Boston sports teams and the New York Yankees put their differences aside to help fight cancer, raising $2.9 million in less than 24 hours in the WEEI/NESN Jimmy Fund Radio-Telethon at Fenway Park. The record-breaking total resulted from a collaboration of rivals as well as WEEI Sports Radio, New England Sports Network (NESN) and the Jimmy Fund, which supports cancer research and care for both adults and children at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston. Dunkin' Donuts store owners raise more than $1M for cancer research in one day

Dunkin' Donuts store owners in New England yesterday raised more than $1 million for the "Rising Stars" of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's Jimmy Fund through proceeds generated from the 9th Annual Dunkin' Donuts George Mandell Memorial Golf Tournament and auction. Joe Cronin Memorial Jimmy Fund Fishing Tournament - reeling in $325,000 for cancer care and research

It was a beautiful day for the 13th annual Joe Cronin Memorial Jimmy Fund Fishing Tournament off the waters of Cape Cod, Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket on August 11. More than 250 anglers reeled in $325,000 to fight cancer at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, helping to raise the chances of survival for those facing cancer here and around the world. 50th Anniversary Milestone

Members of the Peabody Police force will take on the North Shore Oldtimers for the 50th year in a row on Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 4. Carlton Cuse, 'Lost' executive producer, prepares for Pan-Massachusetts Challenge

Carlton Cuse is best known as the executive producer of the award-winning ABC show "Lost," but in his private life, he's a dedicated husband to wife, Christiane, a cancer survivor. Christiane was treated for lymphoma at Boston's Dana-Farber Cancer Institute 20 years ago and as a "thank you" to the doctors and researchers who helped make her recovery possible, the couple is getting ready to ride in the Pan-Massachusetts Challenge (PMC).
