Dana-Farber holiday greetings help in fight against cancer
2005 Holiday Collection features 17 exclusive designs
Winter in New England is just around the corner. Cities and towns will become illuminated with the colors of the season and people will be out scurrying along sidewalks looking for the perfect way to say Happy Holidays.
Dana-Farber Cancer Institute has holiday greetings that add to the season's warmth, as well as make a difference in the lives of those facing cancer. This year's 2005 Holiday Card Collection, 17 exclusive designs and greetings, will help raise funds to support treatments and cures for cancer at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund Clinic.
Choose from classic New England winter scenes including a snow-covered Boston Common complete with lights, trees, and historic Boston in the backdrop. Or spread the joy by selecting a card created by a Dana-Farber/Jimmy Fund patient or survivor such as Santa pitching to a snowman in Fenway Park, designed by Lee Ben of Marlborough, Mass., an avid Red Sox fan since 1956, and 2001 bone marrow recipient.
Of course, a New England winter would never be complete without the world-champion Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots— the Red Sox and Patriots cards are perfect for any New England sports enthusiast. "Seasonal Bliss" is the message found inside the card featuring a snowman in Patriots' gear. "Wishing you all the joy the Red Sox can bring" is inside a card with the Red Sox "red socks" on the front.
The entire 2005 Holiday Card Collection is available now at Christmas Dove stores located at Faneuil Hall, Boston and in Barrington, N.H. Beginning Oct. 24, cards will also be available for purchase in the lobby of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute at 44 Binney Street, Boston.
Each set of greetings contains 15 cards, 16 envelopes, and is available for $20. Personalized black imprinting is also offered, including company logos in black and white for an additional charge.
