Top Chefs, Area Wineries and Breweries Come Together to Fight Cancer
BOSTON—Wine and dine at the sixth annual "Great Chefs Cooking for a Cure" on March 31, from 6:30 to 10 p.m. at 125 High Street, Boston. More than 50 of Greater Boston's top chefs, caterers and wineries will be offering delectable tastings of their specialties at this event to benefit Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
The evening is hosted by the Friends of Dana-Farber, an all volunteer organization of more than 1700 members that serves Dana-Farber through fundraising, direct patient services and public information programs. The funds raised from "Great Chefs Cooking for a Cure," will support cancer programs throughout the Institute.
"We are proud to continue what has become a tradition of the Friends, the annual Great Chefs event," says Friends' President Alice Cutler. "We thank the very generous chefs, vineyards and breweries for their contributions. We look forward to sharing an evening of good food, music and a silent auction.
The honorary chair for the evening is Chef Laura Brennan from Caffe Umbra in Boston's South End. The Friends' Co-chairs are Nancy Cutler of Boston, and Ellie Loughlin of Weston.
Other featured restaurants and caterers include Artu, Atlantic Fish Company, Atlantic Soup Company, Blackfin Chophouse & Raw Bar, Casablanca, Clio, Coriander, Devlins, The Fireplace, Gourmet Caterers, Green Olive Catering, Grill 23, Independent, Jennifer's Gourmet, Le Soir, Lucca, Max Ultimate Food, Metro Bis Restaurant, Mistral, No. 9 Park, Oleana, Paratti Catering, Radius/Via Matta, Sweet Creations Bakery, Sage Restaurant, Summer Shack, The Catered Affair, and Turner Fisheries.
The chefs will provide samplings of their signature dishes in a casual dining atmosphere with featured music by the Jeremy Berlin Trio. Award-winning New England wine and beer will be showcased during the evening with featured libations from J. Lohr Winery, United Liquors and Yellow Tail Winery.
