It's not too late to snap up your Great Chefs tickets.
Good food for a good cause, Jan. 30
AGAWAM, Mass.— There is still time to get tickets for the 14th annual Great Chefs tasting event and silent auction. Don't miss out—pick up a pair or more and spend Friday evening, Jan. 30, enjoying great food while supporting an important cause, the fight against cancer, through the Jimmy Fund.
Western Massachusetts residents and visitors are invited to come in out of the cold and slush to feel transformed by the warm "Dreams of Summer" theme. Thirty-five participating restaurants will present a wide variety of delicacies at the event beginning at 6:30 at Chez Josef in Agawam on Friday, Jan. 30. Tickets are still available by calling (888) 546-6938, plus a limited number of tickets will be sold at the door.
"Great Chefs is a convenient way to try out many of our best local eateries and it's also one of the largest fundraisers for the Jimmy Fund in Western Massachusetts," says Anne-Marie Rizzo, director of the Western Massachusetts office of the Jimmy Fund.
In addition to the food selections, the event's silent auction will feature many coveted items including a luxury box at Fenway, which seats 20, for the Patriot's Day game; round-trip airfare to Hawaii, the Caribbean, and Europe; a Killington, Vt., getaway package; passes to the U.S. Women's Open at the Orchards Golf Club in South Hadley, Mass.; artwork from noted local artist Doug Brega; an Adam Vinatieri autographed football; Red Sox tickets; plus restaurant and salon gift certificates; Oscar de la Renta silk scarves; jewelry items; a retro bicycle and more.
Tickets are $50 and cover the price of food and entertainment. A cash bar will be available for beverages. Tickets are available by calling the Jimmy Fund's Western Massachusetts office at (888) 546-6938. All proceeds from Great Chefs benefit the Jimmy Fund.
