Evander Holyfield, Cecil Fielder Take a Swing at Cancer
Several Celebrities Entertain Kids Fighting Cancer at Jimmy Fund Clinic

Five-time heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield came to Dana-Farber to help knock out cancer. During his visit, he got to know Jimmy Fund Clinic patient Amber Bailey.
A day before bringing their message to Roxbury, five-time heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield, former New York Yankee Cecil Fielder, and chairman and CEO of Major Broadcasting Cable Network, Willie E. Gary, visited children being treated for cancer at the Jimmy Fund Clinic at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute on Friday.
Holyfield, Fielder, and Gary met with patients, signed autographs, and posed for photos. The singing group, 4 Shades, provided a special treat, singing a number of songs a cappella. The group sang directly to several patients and even gave a wonderful rendition of "Happy Birthday" to a patient who celebrated a birthday on Tuesday.
The group is in the area as part of MBC's "Making Better Communities" Tour 2002. On Saturday, Oct. 26, they will participate in an event at the Boys and Girls Club of Boston, Roxbury Clubhouse, located at 115 Warren Street. The day is designed to empower people in urban communities with positive information to improve their lives. There will be games, free food, celebrity appearances and musical performances.
