Sox first baseman Mo Vaughn was a favorite with
the Jimmy Fund Clinic kids in the 1990s, including 11-year-old Jason
Leader, who befriended Vaughn after the slugger hit a home
run in the boy's honor in 1994. A few weeks later at Fenway, Vaughn
helped Leader throw out the first pitch of the game.
